Climate Change Agreements – What to Know for 2025

Climate Change Agreements (CCAs) are a government-backed initiative, aimed at encouraging energy-intensive businesses to reduce their consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.

CCAs operate as part of the Climate Change Levy (CCL) scheme, and offer eligible companies significant discounts on their energy bills in exchange for meeting agreed energy or carbon reduction targets.

With many large businesses making the commitment to reduce energy usage as part of their Net Zero Pathway or Sustainability Targets, securing the additional savings available through a CCA is an easy call.

The CCA scheme is re-opening to applicants from May 2025, so if you have missed out on qualifying in the past, now is your chance!

If you operate in an energy-intensive industry such as manufacturing, chemical production, and food processing, and aren’t already receiving discounts on your CCL, then get in touch with us today.
